What Causes a Hangover?
Scientists still arent absolutely sure what exactly causes a Hangover. It’s widely accepted though that it’s a combination of factors such as: loss of fluids (dehydration). Alocohol is a diuretic which suppresses the hormone vasopressin. It’s this hormone which stops your from urinating too much. Not to mention, most of us aren’t drinking a lot of water during a long night of drinking alcohol. It’s this lack of fluids which gives us that pounding headache. Inflammation also seems to be a huge factor in causing your hangover. Alocohol is an irritant to our stomach lining and causes us to produce gastric acid at higher levels which contributes to the nausea that we feel.
